I just finished this dresser today. The frame and drawer fronts are all Brazilian Cherry from the same Two pieces of wood. I got the idea out of wood magazine and altered the dimensions to make it about 30% larger. This project has a few new firsts for me. It’s the first time I’ve ever done half blind dovetails. And I will probably do them from now on. It is also the first time I’ve ever used a wipe on poly finish. I used general finishes, semi gloss, wipe on poly. It is the arm r seal. I love this stuff but the tung oil under is another story….I love the tung oil look and smell but it it takes forever for all the oils to weep out, but it just may be worth it because i love the reddish brown it gives the Jatoba. My wife needed a piece for her dressing area and this seemed to fit the bill so it’s hers. Tell me what you think. It’s my first piece of nice furniture. Yes, it’s extremely heavy!!
