While on my weekly trash run to the transfer station I came across a perfectly good pair of work bench legs and an old solid core door. With these and a couple of 2×4s and a few bolts I now have a sturdy bench to hold all my material and get it off the floor.

I’ve got an identical pair of those legs that are held together by 2×6s. Makes for a mighty fine all around project bench. I need to do some cross bracing if I want to do any planing on it. I have toted those legs through 6 moves and 4 tops since 1969. As Lew said Nice Score!

Very nice. I think you’re having waay too much fun! Did you know that Sir Paul McCarthy’s favorite pasttime is dumpster diving? He likes scouting the neighborhood for usable items thrown out for trash.
