Been thinking about my previous “workshops”.
My shops:

Second bedroom of first rented house. It was all of 9’ by 11’. Bought first tools.
Moved to apartment, so now using Dad’s one-car garage. He was generous. Car never went inside.
Graduated college. Another apartment. Still using Dad’s garage.
Left apartment. Sharing house with coworker. Down to just a bedroom. Dad’s garage.
Assigned to 3 month audit in another state. Quit the house. Living out of suitcase, but saving entire paycheck.
Bought house. Now in my own garage. Dad gets his garage back.
Moved. Renting house. First inside shop—basement.
Lost job. Put everything in storage and crash with Mom & Dad while job hunting.
Got a job in Houston. Buy house with garage.
Get married again. Buy bigger house with garage.
Move to Colorado and buy trophy shop. Rent condo. No shop.
Rent house with garage. Shop in garage.
Buy house with garage. Shop in garage.
Wife and I separate. (was it the tools in the garage?)
Get apartment. Tools in storage.
Get another apartment. Tools stay in storage.
Get divorced. Business now all mine. Set up WW shop there.
Buy house. Tools stay downtown at business.
Still in that house. Tools still downtown.
Now it’s twenty years later. I’m married again. My shop is downtown and wife’s car lives in garage.
