oak log in SE MO
I know a little about lumber but I know nothing about logging so maybe someone could help me out. I have an oak log about 34” in diameter and 9’ long. It has been laying in my yard for a couple of months now and I am not sure what to do with it. I have been tempted to have someone just cut it up for firewood but I know that it would make some nice lumber. I do not want to sell it or make any money from it I just hate to see good lumber go to waste. Any suggestions? Any one want it maybe? If not I suppose I will advertise it for firewood and just be rid of it since I do not have the capability to manufacture it. I appreciate any comments.
