Very nice. I like your philosophy on wood. I have philosophic view points about wood and woodworking as well. Mine has more to do with that the tree was a living thing and we owe it to the tree to make something beautiful out of it; then it lives on and on.
Have a safe trip. When you get back you will have to turn some vessels that the experience inspired.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Joe on the greater power than surrounds us & how that guides you toward your passion & creativity with timber.
My Guild does dozens of little top similar to yours along with Butterfly boxes for Kids cancer unit here in Auckland. we also do wig stands for the ladies Breast cancer who loose their hair with due to treatment. It's great to share a small opiece of your time to just help people as a Fellow human being.
Great work Joe. I am glad to see you getting the exposure your work really deserves. You have been a great inspiration here, your forms and colors are awe-inspiring and have encouraged many to take up woodturning. Keep up the great work.
Beautiful story and beautiful work. I too am often hesitant (or reluctant) to talk to others about my faith, unless asked directly.
God Bless you and your daughter as you go forth among men.
Joe, very nice video and beautiful works of arts. Thanks for giving credit to the real Maker of all things….May God richly bless you and your daughter.
Wow, Joe! This is an awesome video and great story. Great to see you get the recognition you deserve. God's richest blessing to you and your daughter as you make that mission trip.
Joe, So often when finishing a turning or finishing a nonturned piece I always marvel at Gods Beauty. Sometimes I feel that I fail in showing the true beauty of the wood but God is always true and I cannot do anything without Gods will. Your work is far superior to anything I do and I always enjoy seeing and wondering how you do what you do. You are one talented and blest man to show Gods beauty from within a raw piece of wood. Thanks Joe for your video and I wish you and your daughter the best on your mission trip.
Have always loved your work but now I know why your art work is so great,,, It is a true reflection of the artist. Great to know a little bit more about you and that you have and awesome view on life and people. Thumb's up and hat's off.
