This is a little project i made for an old co-worker for her kid for Christmas. had a bit of a plan for the truck and just made the trailer from memory of all the ones i worked on when i was a mechanic. turned out not bad. needs a few modifications for the next one and maybe a dump trailer pup or a quad dump trailer.

New Truck

This is a truck that i have been working on for the last year on and off. it has been hard to get time to get out in the shop lately as i have a 4 year old daughter and a 20 month old son. My daughter has been spending lots of time with me out there lately that is how i actually got this truck done, she love to puck-up saw dust. i built this plan with a combination of the Toys and Joys tow truck and pictures of the actual truck. i put this truck in the Kamloops Wood Workers Guild Show and Sale this past weekend and came out with first place and peoples choice in my category. For looks i made the Super “b” Chip trailer to go behind it, the trailer is 54 inches long and the truck sticks out 15 more inches more infront of that. This was a fun project to build and i think the next one that i do may be a Kenworth boom truck.

Logger

This is one of those things that i got carried away on. A freinds wife said that there little guy wanted a truck like his grandpa’s. So as many of you know that light goes off in your head and you go home into the shop and go at it. I went home and found a 2×4 then it was just saw dust flying again. 30 two inch wheels and 17 axle pegs a couple of peices of dowels and done. now this truck was suposed to be just a natural finish and then i didn’t find anything that i wanted to use so i decided to paint it (and it does match exactlly to the real one). This took me about two hours to build and about a week of painting (i am not a painter)
I hope everyone likes it..
