1334 posts in 2008 days Location: Ontario Canada I am really a novice to woodworking, although I have been at it all my life. I got started, like a lot of you as a child. I followed my Dad around his shop and was aloud to make toothpicks out of some of his stock. Later in life, I got very involved with model airplanes. I have always had a love for aviation. I was a private pilot before marriage and kids took the flying funding away. Building giant scale radio control airplanes was a great and rewarding hobby. It also taught me a lot about joining wood. Now I am retired. My dad passed from this world a few years ago and I inherited his power tools. With a new wealth of machines to try out, I found myself building toys. I just love my new found hobby. Although I will build many other projects (my wife has a long list)... It's the toys that I love the most.
