I’ve been working the past few months writing a program to help woodworkers with laying out panels and creating cutlists easily for their projects. The one goal I set myself, was that it had to be simple to use, after 3 months (and a stupid amount of hours) I’ve finally finished testing and wrapped it up last week. It’s now available on my website for purchase, the programe is named, Fit It.
It can handle sheetgoods, boards and even lengths of 2×4. You can enter measurements in metric & imperial.
I posted a short video about it as well if you want a quick overview, and there is lots more info on my site.
It’s been super useful so far, saved me a full sheet of 18mm plywood on the first project I used it on even!
Check it out, obviously I’m biased, but I think it’s well worth it, especially if you batch out projects or have larger ones that suck up a lot of expensive ply.
Yell out with any questions.
