Topic tags/keywords: question

I came across an estate sale that has a lot of wood for sale and a commercial planer all I know at this time is that the wood has been valued at about $1500.00 and some of it is Cedar, sorry that is all I know at this time but I hope to have the details tomorrow. I cant afford all of it but if anyone wants to share it with me let me know. please use the PM here at LJs. I will be going to see it around noon tomorrow and will check my messages before I leave 8/31 at noon.
My guess is its about 600 BFT of cypress ? being here in Florida and all.
Wish me luck Thanks

Well I went to see what they had and the wood was piled up in such a way you could not get to it to see what was there. There is a 18” Planer 6” joiner, drill press and a few other tools and 6 wood clamps most of what I saw was cedar some nice but nothing I was interested in. They are going to post it on the woodworkers list if its not sold this week. Some people came by and offered $500 for everything but they will not go that low for it. The 18” Planer is from the 50s but this guy was an aircraft engineer and took it to work and re machined it to withing aircraft specs I ran it and its about the best machine I ever ran bar none the draw back is it must weigh about 2500 pounds. The wood is no where near worth $1500.00 Maybe $300.00 would be a good deal most of it is about 5/8” X 5” & 6” and could make a number of blanket chests. If you want to look I can hook you up.
