Pages Loading Slow

i agree, bhack. it appears this site might need more horsepower! it is horribly slow and it is this site only.

Yep I was just mumbling about this a few minutes ago, yet it seems to be a “today’s” issue i had not seen this before.
Could be some issue with the hosting provider, they could be doing some maintenance work, they normally do this over the weekends (supposedly less loads)

same for me on my mac ,
but everything is slow ?

It started slowing yesterday for me…Site in need of maintenance.

I noticed the slow down yesterday, but thought it might the some updates that I loaded for Java, so I just removed them and still slow.

Noticed it this morning.. noticeably slow. maybe by a factor of 3 or 4x.

Reminds me of my two thousand dollar computer from montgomery wards back in 92. You could go to the bathroom and get something to drink before a page loaded.

Seems like our hosting provider is under DoS attack today. They are working on resolving this issue.

I know there is no definite time frame for a fix for something like this so we will patiently wait
until the resolution is in place. A minor inconvenience for us to wait a “little” longer for the pages to load.

In the shop, 3 hours goes by in what seems like 15 minutes. I thought it was Martin’s way of slowing time and giving me back the time that flew by in the shop. He and Steven Hawkings are cousins don’t cha know.

it seems to be loading faster now. Must have been the removal of the pulse that helped. If that’s the problem feel free to keep it off.

I saw it running uber slow last night, and well into today, so I gave up until now… Running okay for now though…

I am reasonably sure that nobody would want to DDoS a woodworkers forum except for maybe the PETT (People for the Ethical Treatment of Trees) people… (No joke, I got hate email from them not that long ago rambling about how horrible it was to kill a tree for wood is…

I’ve noticed it being slow of 36 hours. Mine seems to be OK now. I’ve rebooted 3 times and it never got any better.
