I want to try my hand at making an electric guitar, and was wondering if anyone out in LJ land might have a piece of Curly or Quilted maple I could purchase for the top. I am looking for something around 1/2” thick and 14” x 19” size.

thanks

Actually I just checked ebay and searched “Luthier Wood”. There is considerable wood for you to look at.

Here is a link for you http://www.curlymaple.com/ I’ve never used them, but they do have some awesome looking materials, including a section for luthiers.

Thanks for looking Pat… I think that’s going to be a bit to small for what I need though.

That is an awesome link WoodRat. They have a really awesome selection.

Shoot poroskywood (LJ) a message. I’ve ordered curly maple from him and it’s all been gorgeous.
