I just wanted to throw this out and see if anyone was interested. I have a pristine 109 series metal lathe by Craftsman / Dunlap that I would like to sell or trade for Hand Plane(s). I bought it several years ago and just haven’t had time to work with it any. I’ve also since gotten into woodworking instead of metal working. If there’s any interest, I’ll be glad to come back and post pictures and more details. I would prefer NOT to ship it anywhere. I live in the metro Atlanta area, I go to North Georgia quite a bit and North Carolina. I will probably be making a trip to Peoria, IL around November, so could deliver it then. I would like to trade it for a couple nice Stanley planes, Maybe a Bedrock, I don’t know, just throwing it out to see if anyone is interested.
Looks very much like the one here.

Hand planes are like the crack of woodworking. Only not cheap. I guess they’re really more the actual cocaine.

These would make excelant pen turning lathes by just adding a tool rest. Too bad I have a glut of lathes I’d take one.

I have that lathe, left in the basement by the previous owner. They have a sort of cult status and always sell for 200-300 plus shipping on eBay, so if you can’t work out a trade, at least you can get cash to buy planes.

This seems like an old posting but I have just seen it today. Is thia lathe still available? I live in the Atlanta area and could do a pick up if it was available.
