I bought some domestic hardwood scraps from rockler and when I got them home, I realized that the walnut was the only one I could identify. Anybody got a recommendation on hardwood samples kit? Looking up online is useless because monitors just can’t properly portray colors (smells or textures either) -- What do you mean it's square? How did that happen? |

Can you upload a few photos of the pieces you can’t identify? Someone here should be able to ID them. -- "At its best, life is completely unpredictable." - Christopher Walken |

I like the kit that woodcraft has to offer – thanks Kent. Rockler – it is a very nice assortment of smaller blocks (i like them so much I ordered 2×20lb boxes from you) I just need to be more knowledgeable about them in order to use them more effectively. I am specifically looking to use it for a cutting board and a jewelry box or two. -- What do you mean it's square? How did that happen? |
