I have been informed that HD is closing out the Dewalt 735’s for $274. I recently bought a Ridgid TP1300LS there for $229 on closeout or I would be all over this. I should mention that the two people I heard about this from are in Conn. If anyone out there is looking for a planer, now would seem to be a good time.

Hey I just picked one up here in California! Talk about a sweet deal! I had no idea it was nationwide though. I just recently stopped by Lowe’s, where they retail the DeWalt 735 for $600! Deals like this only come once in a blue moon.

Way to look out for your lumberjock buddies.
I just called the HD in my area & there is no word of reduction here. :(
I am leaving for a weeks vacation tomorrow morning. I’ll really be bummed out if they hit that sale price while I am out of town. HD retails them for $649. here.

Choppertoo, you might want to ask Teem if he can scan his receipt and send it to you. Your local HD might be willing to use that for a price match. If not, I believe that Lowes will price match. I recently sent a scanned receipt to a guy on another forum and he got his local store to match the price on a DC. I’m seriously considering grabbing one here and either returning the Ridgid 1300LS I bought or selling it. I think I could probably get my purchase price for it since it is still in the box.

That is an increadable deal. Reconditioned DW 735 list for $499.

I’ve had one for four years and it is excellent. Noisy and produces a ton of chips but a great machine.

Heck, for that price, why get new knives? Just get another machine!

I was able to pick up a DW735 at the Upper Darby (a suburb of Philly) Home Depot for $274, about a week ago.
Also HSS replacement blades for this planer can gotten from
infinitytools.com
I believe they also have carbide replacement blades.

If you guys don’t quit pointing out these good deals, I’m never gonna be able to afford to buy any WOOD! (Just kidding, gotta go down to HD—)

rsdowdy, always happy to help out a fellow lumberjock (and wooter). Now, if only the HD stores in my area would honor the price…
