USPS delivered a new Bad Axe saw yesterday. It hits all my sweet spots, narrow and long saw plate, open tote with the correct hang, aggressive filing, and the bling I wanted.

My other dovetail saws may become dust magnets.

Thats a great looking saw. Did you go with the thin plate? Is that a mesquite tote?

Mesquite and regular plate. I had figured my Bad Axe saw collection was complete, then Mark came out with this one. One thing is for sure he knows my buttons.

I haven’t had a chance to use it other than to saw a couple or three tails in some Cherry just to see how it cuts. What I found was a very fast easy to control saw….I expect it will be a real pleasure to use.

Beautiful. Have you ever used the standard LN dovetail? If so, how does it compare?

Thanks PatrickH,

Sorry I can’t compare. The only LN saw I own is the large tenon saw.

I will say this, I have 8 Bad Axe saws of different sizes, including Bad Axe’s large tenon saw. A Bad Axe saw is very close to a custom saw at a price point only a little higher than a production saw.
