I would kill for that price in New Jersey. And I would build an outdoor structure or something to hold it. Go for it

That’s one heck of a deal. I’m considering looking at this: http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mat/4973150523.html. Given the size of many of these boards it might work out to less than $1/bdft.

bigblockyeti, Not sure what that is. I plan to buy a few thousand BF from this kind gentleman if the lumber is as he has described; AAA quality on the 12” stock.

That is a super deal on walnut. Walnut prices are really up.

Hopefully, most of the lumber won’t be bowed. His stickers are way too far apart.

I’m not entirely sure what species he’s got either, but I could use a nice drive and if it’s straight, clean hardwood and under $1 a board foot, I’ll probably get it even though I’m not quite sure where I’ll be able to store it right now.

On Sunday I’ll be preparing the attics on both of my shops to store this wood (if it is what I expect. He said most of it is straight grain). TheWoodenOyster, two of my daughters live in TX, one in Fort Worth. So, yes I can bring some down on the next visit.

This wood looks like it was all rough sawn to 3/4”. I guess it depends what you are going to use it for. I would think that by the time you ran it through a planer, it would be pretty thin stuff.
