I was never destined to own this notebook PC. Anybody that read my reply to Mot’s car saga knows that it was stolen for 6 months. Then it was found, but was evidence for another 6 months. Anyways, being the brilliant individual that I am, I was installing some hinges on a small box sitting on the floor by the coffee table. I keep little 4” magnetic dishes on almost every tool (so handy). So I have the dish with the hardware in it and I multitasking by installing hinges, playing a game of Spades on the net, and watching the Gamecocks kick Georgia’s butt (have never got to say that before). I look to the computer and the dish is attached to a corner of it. Oops. I didn’t notice anything until I tried to use the touchpad mouse today. Magnet won! I use a USB mouse mostly, but I am still fairly peaved I was so smart. At least computer goofs won’t cut off a finger!

Don’t you just love those real super strong magnets.

I had a pilot bring me back a fridge magnet from Mexico and put it on my computer monitor in the office.

I had a new monitor Monday afternoon!

Hehe….I was helping my brother replace the clutch in his race car labor day weekend and mistakenly put his magnetic tray (big one) down on his socket set (glad it wasn’t his laptop. It took me 10 minutes to get all the sockets back in their proper place.

Me too. I know that CRT’s can be “degaussed” but nothing about the “Magnetic effects on the laptop computer”!................And I don’t wanna find out!
