Topic tags/keywords: sale

I am selling our 10,000sf Commercial Building that is located in beautiful low-tax Tennessee, about an hour from Nashville. This affordable and well-maintained 13-year-old manufacturing facility / warehouse has been used for woodworking since its construction in 2002. It is a metal building with a metal roof on a reinforced concrete slab. Ceiling heights in the production area are 15’ at the center and 11’6” at the eaves. There are two 10×12 drive-ins and one 8×14 drive-in leading to a storage area. The production area includes a large, vented paint booth, gas heaters and extensive air hoses throughout. The building includes roughly 1,500 SF of office with drop ceilings and climate control. Great extra space that could easily be made into living quarters. The building also has three-phase electric, high-speed internet and city water / sewer. There are two restrooms, one for the office area and one accessible from the production floor. The site includes 3.5 acres of industrial land for expansion or even a new building on the site. $289,900. Please send me an email if you have questions or you are interested.

I am certain this is not a real estate site. Unless you have some common interest in the woodworking community I would personally find your unrelated thread as not welcome. I frequent this site as a woodworker and because I look forward to reading about other woodworker experiences. I would suggest that you move your content to a real estate site where your thread would be both appreciated and welcome.

I’m sorry – I didn’t mean to offend you. I own a woodshop where we make cabinets & toys in Tennessee. I am selling the building and I thought that a woodworking forum where there are people who are interested in woodworking might actually be a good place to share because there might be people who are interested. Please ignore the post if it offended you.

What on your profile page would indicate to me that you have any woodworking interest? It appears to me according to your profile page that you have just opened an account purely to advertise for personal gain with no real intention of sharing in any woodworking passion.

As this is off topic content the site rules that your thread heading be titled as such, but it appears you are not aware of the site rules. If you have not shown any personal interest in this site other than to advertise for your personal gain I would not expect you to be aware of the site rules.

Retiring, and moving on to the other things (mostly talking two-legged & barking four-legged animals:) that are important to our lives. I posted here because I know people are passionate about woodworking and there might be someone interested in relocating. I switched the post to the coffee forum which I believe is where the “off topic” belongs.

Jerry, lighten up a bit, huh? Who died and made you king of this joint?

Don’t really consider the post off topic… a woodworking shop on a woodworking forum. Anyway, since it’s the ‘Trade and Swap’ forum – I’ll trade you a condo in St Augustine Beach for it :)

Cheers,
Brad

Yeah im probably harsh tonight. But who in this world is perfect, certainly not me.

While we are trying to sell real estate, my family has property for sale in east TN, there are buildings on the property that can work nicely as a woodshop. Our property comes with 25 acres and is located approximately 1 hour from Pigeon Forge.

Actually most any real estate can be used for woodworking in one capacity or another. So in a very real way, we could make this site a bit of a real estate advertising site. I personally don’t mind advertising but I do feel one should come to the site to become part of a community rather than just for one possible advantage such as selling real estate. The OP does not even list any information about himself or express any desire to be a part of this community other than to possibly sell real estate. I would be happy to read about someone selling real estate on this site if I knew the person was wanting to be part of this community other than just a passer by. Even if the OP opened the account and showed more interest in this community through their profile and other comments other than just making a sale, that to me would be much more acceptable.

Shucks, I might some day sell my shop, and could very well offer it on this site. But everyone should know that I have a strong desire of being part of this community first and foremost, selling my shop via this site would merely be a secondary deal to me.

Smitty, I apologize for offending you. If you would prefer I can delete my profile and leave the site so that you can frequent this site without me ever causing you grief. I do realize am not king of this site, actually I am not king of anything in this world as far as that goes. Thank you for reminding of that. I respectfully request that you accept my apology and I will make it my goal to never offend you again. I do recall playing king of the hill when I was a child, it was one of my favorite games to play. And even in that most of the time I was not even King of the hill.

MGTenn, honestly I have a lot to be thankful for through the use of the internet. As a thriving business owner I have successfully bought and sold via the internet to my own extreme advantage. I have utilized sites most applicable to my situation and that has been what has provided me success. My personality lends itself to wanting to help others so if I may, you might try listing on Woodweb.com. I am certain there are several local to your area sites that will be to your greatest benefit. Have you also considered actual real estate sites, maybe CL. I bought my woodworking property off of local CL. Hope this helps some.

Jerry, rest assured you didn’t offend me in any way. And I don’t care if you stay or if you go. Have a good evening.

Easy bro! Retired woodworker selling his massive woodshop? Nothing wrong with that. I clicked because I was curious.

MGTenn – wish you luck. Sounds like a fun place to work. Thanks for posting here, I have been wondering what a real shop would cost. If there was an investment opportunity somewhere near me, I would jump on it and use it for a shop for a few years. Low property taxes helps.

I get where you’re coming from Jerry!

People that don’t frequent this site, then come to use it for their own advertising is no different than a company that comes here trying to advertise their products, whether they’re for woodworking or not, it is still advertising that should be paid for.

The OP is just taking advantage of the resources he can find. I guess there is no rule against it or it could be flagged and the administration could decide whether it should be removed or not.
Personally I feel like he is coming here for, like you say, personal gain and could care less about Lj’s as a community.

No biggie, I just move on to the next post.
There’s not much professionalism going on here to worry about this site anyway.

Stay around though, it is fun kind of watching people with no experience of doing something telling somebody else how to do it…
You should do it like this, although I have never done it this is the best way to do it because I read it on the internet and stayed at a Holiday Inn last night!
hahahahha

woodust, would you be the over watcher of this site and let us know when someone of no experience is giving advice? I know I would be highly appreciative if you would do this for us. Thanks in advance…

No you go ahead, you’re the one that creates little departments and places little gold stars when you think there appropriate. Sounds like a job right up your alley. ;)
