Topic tags/keywords: shop vac

IF anyone is looking for a good shop vac they are on sale at HD, I just picked one up to replace the old craftsman I had that burned its motor out last winter. Hmmm it seems I am wearing out a lot of these wee electric motors lately?

Thanks for the tip, Mark. These will do the job on a limited basis but tend to be undersized when used for full fledged dust collection. Although I have one that I use for my router table and to clean up in the nooks and crannies of my shop that is at least 10 years old and still doing ok. But I have never used it for trying to control the dust/chips from my planer or any of my saws.

I agree, I have the dust collector for that, this is just for clean up and vacumming out the van.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve got three dust collectors spread around the shop and the big one for the table saw/bandsaw/jointer.planer.

The little one is used with the chopsaw and biscuit jointer, the others for misc clean up.
