Bosch Jig Saw Bosch 1590 EVSL .. cant control cut.

This saw worked great for a while, but has developed an issue with the control of the blade.
When cutting the slightest curve, the blade jumps out of the guide roller and keeps going straight.
Have tried this with several different blades, precision control guide on and off, etc.

It looks like the blade can move forward too easily slipping away from the guide roller. If the precision control guide is engaged the guide blocks only touch 50% of the blade.

See picture showing the blade position after another frustrating attempt to cut a usually easy, wide circle.

Any advice would be great.

Remove the blade and spray some air into the blade receiver. It’s possible that some sawdust has gotten up there and is preventing the blade from seating properly. Or, it could be something else….............but that’s my WAG.

I’ve had trouble with my Bosch not cutting 90 degrees. Fiddled around with it and found that the base slides back and forth to lock in position. You might have to do some fiddling with yours to find the secret. I’ll take a look at mine tomorrow and see what I can figure out. If I come up with something I’ll get back at you.

On my Bosch the lever in your photo adjusts the blade guide forward or back. You might try adjusting that. In your photo you have it in the retracted position.
