Anyone know of a way to help a tree (oak)... grow a burl? Any site ive read has only explained that damaging a tree is one of the causes for a burl to start growing, but it doesnt go into detail -.-
I did read quite a while ago that hitting a birch with an axe or something like that would work
But i dont wanna go swinging an axe at our trees before knowing for sure :P

Anyone care to take the time to explain (if you know), or have any links that explain how it can be done?

i don’t think anything has been proven to cause a burl. many people think burls are like tumors on trees. I’ll be interested to hear if anyone else has better info.

Have your say...
