I have an early 1960’s 14 inch powermatic band saw. I’m in need of a few parts, like a wheel shaft and bearings to start with. Where do I find a site that might be able to get some of these types of parts. This is my first try at rebuilding an older machine of any kind. the model # 143, serial # 2-499, don’t mean to me as far as the age, but I did see some pics of some models that look like mine and that was the age mine looked.

Bearings will be available at any bearing supplier. Take old one to the shop. They most often have identifying numbers on ‘em.
May have to go to machine shop for the shaft.

Any good bearing supplier will be able to help.If you say which model you have and the size of the bearings they are usually quite interchangable ,but the diameter etc must be perfect otherwise you need to make bushing so don’t try that try also the original makers if that’s possible they might have some in stock still.Alistair
