Please help I have an new porter cable bammer nail gun I paid top dollar for this and used it sparingly as most of my nailing is done with the compressor and gun . I use this only when I can’t do a job in the workshop and can’t be bothered to bring the compressor and nail gun up three flights of stairs. I now find I cannot get gas easily or at the moment not at all can anyone tell me where I might find these little gas canisters in the uk but anywhere if needed.??Alistair

Hey Allistair
In the states this gun is not available any more because other brands have proven more reliable I haven’t seen the gun of fuel cells for it for at lest 3 years.

Alistair,

I don’t know if this is good news, but I found it on Amazon:

“I called Porter Cable and was told that the bammer guns were discontinued because they never worked as a Porter Cable should. Porter Cable offered to replace the tool with another but made no guarantee that it would work. After complaining a bunch PC offered to replace the Bammer with any equal value product. That is why I will stick with Porter Cable tools but it will not be a Bammer.”

Maybe if you contact PC, you could get a replacement.

There must be some block from your end…when I click on the link I gave…it is a e-mail forum that goes direct to their Customer service.

I always had good service from Black & Decker, always got replacement with a better tool and one time they send me a FREE gift, a cordless sprayer which works real fine.

Satisfied with my bammer, October 29, 2002
By A Customer

I have used my bammer extensively for 3 years now. Probably gone through 20 fuel cells with no problems. Only problem has been sometimes the fuel cells leak. This is solved by oiling the rubber cell seal to keep it supple. I love the freedom my bammer gives me. No lugging around an air compressor just to do a 10 minute job. No air hoses to sort out. The bammer is so versatile I have even installed wood flooring with it. Too bad Porter Cable discontinued it. All they had to do was beef it up a little design-wise.

I have one of these that I never use, if anyone is interested in this send me a PM.

Maybe that offer for an exchange is still available. If anyone knows I’d be very interested.

Think SENCO had a problem with a similiar product. It was wide spread with Porter-Cable. Used to see stacks of them in for repair at the Tampa service center.
