I’ve built quite a few items over the years, but I’ve never built one of these giant trestle bases I am seeing everywhere now. Does anyone have a method they use to build these? Or know of a good book or video to check them out?

Never built them before, but my intuition would be to take 4 blocks and trace the pattern on the sides, then cut them on a bandsaw. Then mitre them and glue them into a column.

That’s somewhat like I was thinking, just wasn’t sure.
