I found a running Delta LA200 lathe on craigslist they are asking $285 is this a good price?

No, Delta stopped selling them because of problems and did not reenter the small lath market for many years. You cannot find parts for them!

You can buy a new mini lathe for less or around same price!

The HF and Rockler mini lathes are the same or copies of the Delta. The HF can be had for about $170 w/ coupon. The Rockler is $300 new. So not a good price unless it comes with chucks and tools. I am not familiar enough with the lathe to know of any problems, just the usual issues common to cheap Chinese lathes.

Great guys thanks for the input I’ll look at the rockler was also looking at the lower end nova also.
