I’ve been using Zinsser premixed shellac, but want to start mixing my own. I see several online stores that sell lots of varieties of waxed and dewaxed shellac buttons and flakes. Any recommendations for one you’ve had experience with?

I buy my shellac from woodessence. Great price and great service.

You can buy shellac at leevalley but much more expensive. As usual great quality and service but totally overpriced.

There is shellac.net. I never tried this one.

good luck and I am sure other people will give you great advice.

I buy from shellac.net, they’ve worked out pretty well. But I think I’d choose from the suggested sources by price, I’d bet they are all good.

I have bought from shellac.net. I have not dealt with their customer service. I do not like their web page. Thanks to lepelerin who mentioned Woodessence I have bookmarked their site and will try them for my next purchase.
