Topic tags/keywords: safety glasses

It took me awhile to find a decent pair of magnified safety glasses, so I thought I would share these from Duluth Trading with you. This is the one thing in my shop that I literally can’t work without. OK, I hit 50 this year and can’t read or do any detail work without cheaters. [Note to young whipper-snappers: Go ahead and laugh. You’ll be there before you know it.]

These glasses are comfortable and provide a wide field of vision. Strength from +1.50 to +3.00. My only complaint is that their clear frames make them tough to spot in the shop. I solved this with a couple of pieces of red electrical tape.

Duluth Trading has several other interesting combinations of safety glasses / cheaters / sunglasses. Search for ‘glasses’ on their website .

Dave, I guess I am going to have to check these out…. Do you have any trouble with the foging up at all??

Max – Some fogging when using a disposable dust mask, but I don’t know that any other glasses would do better since the mask tends to redirect your exhale up on the lens. No fogging when using a respirator or with no mouth covering.
