YF-1029. North State Shaper.
http://www.leneavesupply.com/north-state-machinery/shapers.html

I can’t find any information on this unit. I called the manufacture and they said that they don’t have any information on it either. I would like to find a spindle assembly (pulley, bearings, spindle, etc) that will fit or some information on the spindle so I can find some others.

If anyone has any information on this unit please let me know.

To be honest I have spent some time trying to track down info on North State lately. I have been eyeing a planer. All I get is this outfit out of Charlotte. Not bad as its only 1.5 hrs drive from here. But where is it made…anything? I havent been able to find anything. Sorry. I will keep an eye on this thread because I want to know as much about NS as possible.

It look just like the Harbor Freight one. The wood-shaper HF shows on line is different from the one I saw in the store yesterday.
I used to have one like the one in store (identical to the one you looking at) I bought used (but like new) for $70.00, I modified it a bit (larger table, new and larger fences) and I sold it for $150.00.

I never used it.
Made in Taiwan.
I looked of pretty good quality.
It had all kind of brand new never used tools with it.

Check your local HF store if you have one.

This one is a 3HP with a sliding table. It weighed 300+ lbs. I included the link because that’s the company that is on the front of it.

Ok, I did not see.
I “love” sliding tables.
