I purchased this drum sander off CL a few years ago, and have used it to sand down some cutting boards that i made (probably 25 of them) and it works good. It does have some issues though. The drive belt is frayed on 1 side (just like it happens on the Powermax/jet versions) and next, a typical issue with these is the lift mechanism uses plastic gears and this one has issues with it… but it does work. there is a fix on this site that shows you can get metal gears to replace it and fix it.

Now, the Lets make a deal.

I am moving in a month, and i do not want to take it with me. (Im moving to an apartment and can’t physically, plus i got a larger one in trade that is going to my parent shop)

If someone is interested in it and would like to trade, let me know. i think i paid 200$ for it on craigslist. but I’m willing to trade and loose money if that means someone else can use it. Im down for just trading for some hand made pens/pencils, or a smaller hand tools or something. I’m open to offers.

just let me know

I am not really in the market but I would consider looking at it. I also saw your post on the saltwater tank cabinet. I have some questions in that area. I have a reef tank that is about to drive me insane.

Ill graduate next Saturday and have to move to Houston the following morning, so if your even slightly interested…. it would help me because i wouldnt have to take it (im moving from a 3 bedroom house to a 1 bedroom apartment and have no more storage room available.)
Id be more then happy to show it to you. It does work and i have a half finished cutting board we can run through it to demonstrate it.

Ill get some actual pictures if you want.
My cell is 903-987-9249. You can text me and then ill forward you some pictures of it.

I would take it with me but got a Jet drum sander in a big trade (when i bought a guys shop) plus i have no more storage room…. not to mention i can use my current tools when i move because ill be in a small apartmrnt with no garage or extra space.
