Topic tags/keywords: jointer knife knives lock bar gib delta milwaukee

Hi All,

This is a follow-up to my earlier post for this jointer.

http://lumberjocks.com/topics/91026

It’s an older Delta Milwaukee 6” jointer.

model 37-205 or 37-207 (Thanks to MrUnix for that info!)

Someone had “restored” it at some point in the past. The pulleys were all the wrong size and the belt on it was too heavy for the pulleys they used, which I’m guessing is what lead one of the pulleys to crack. So I’ve gotten all that sorted out. New pulleys and new belt to give the correct RPM and HP.

I’ve also gotten new knives for it. So the last piece of the puzzle is the knife lock bars. They were missing when I got it.

Is this a pretty standard part that I can find easily? What’s my best bet here?

(I will report back when it’s up and running, and thanks in advance to everyone for helping a newbie get this working again!)

Try the BOYD section over at the owwm site. I saw a couple of posts for people parting out 6” delta jointers (including what you are looking for, but not sure of the model as it wasn’t specified), and if those don’t pan out, you can post a WTB ad and see if someone has what you need. I would post a link, but I’m pretty sure you need to be a member to get into that section so it wouldn’t do much good.

Cheers,
Brad
