Need advice please,
Building a small coffee table out of some ambrosia maple I picked up.
I cut the boards to 42” length and ran the boards through the joiner.
On one of my wider boards the 2 ends line up flat with the other boards, but in the middle there is a bow of about 1/4”. I plan to join the boards using biscuits and glue.
Options I am considering:
1) I can easily press the bow out and glue up the boards, but my fear is over time the tension will weaken the joint and it will spring back.
2) I thought about wetting the board and placing weights on it to try to straighten out, but not sure if that’s viable.
3) Buy a new board (Really don’t want to go this way)
Are there other options.
What do you think??
Thanks in advance for your help.
