Hi folks… I’m in the middle of making a jewelry box from Cocobolo and would like to use an accent wood for a low, subtle base/leg combo. I’m looking at some of the scraps of wood I have lying around and was wondering if Walnut might be a good choice. Other woods available for the base (more of a 1/8” thick accent strip and 1/2” legs) could be Cherry, Padauk, Bubinga, Jatoba, Mahogany, Maple or Cocobolo, of course. Opinions/suggestions please… Cheers -- -- Don in Ottawa, http://www.donebydon.ca |
