Hello friends,

Well I am almost done with my bench. I installed the Twin-Screw Vice and everything was going awesome on the instillation. But when it was time to put the chain on I realized that I was missing a part for the chain, I am missing the “Full-Link” to be able to connect the chain. I rigged up a temporary solution with some cotter pins (that was the only thing available in the shop) For those people that have the vice is the chain on the Veritas vice the same as a bike chain? Could I use a Full-Link connector for a bike to fill the gap for the one I don’t have. Thanks for your help and have a blessed day.

Michael

I’d call Lee Valley. They should send the link right out.

Yes, it’s just bike chain.

I was thinking that but its been over three years since I have ordered the vice. Dang deployments were always getting in the way of me being able to build my bench.

If I recall correctly it even states somewhere in the instructions that it’s just standard chain. It’s a great vise though, enjoy :)

LOL,,PineInTheAsh

I am currently in the Army, currently stationed in Germany. I will see if LV can help, I wont mention my service though. (I don’t look for free stuff because of my career). I do need a new bolt for the chain cover (tightened it to much,,lol)
