Hey fellow woodchucks,

I have some left over quarter sawn white oak and started to plan on making a mission style foot rest. Well, researching this led of course to the famous Morris chair. Unfortunately, the designs that I have seen leave something to be desired. Does anyone out there have something fresh ( I prefer the small spindles)?
Thank you in advance,
Kimball

I meant the Morris chair and not the foot stool in case that wasn’t clear. Oh by the way, I know that I am going to have to purchase more lumber. DRAT!

just do a google image search for morris chair styles and there will be pics of dozens of different styles to look at.

i personally like the open sided bow arm the best
