my jointer. Found this, like new Ridgid
jointer on CL for $200. Couldn’t pass it
up. Was able to sell my little craftsman
for $100 ( paid $40 for it ) I also decided to try turning so I picked
up the $200 HF benchtop lathe ( – 20% )
Never turned before so I’m a little
nervous about that but I’ll watch some
videos and give it a try. Don’t have any
questions at moment but nobody at my
house can appreciate some new tools, I also made a couple new blast gates
out of pvc & plexiglass (not made of wood
so didn’t put in project section

Hi all, I finally was able to upgrade

I know the feeling about nobody else in my family understanding the significance of new tools! Congrats and enjoy.

I bought the same jointer in 2008 at HD. It has been a good tool and I can’t complain about it.

I think you will enjoy it more since there was such a small net investment. Well done.

You did good on the jointer. I bought the same unit new and have had no problems with it.

Have the same jointer, $225 new at Home Depot on closeout. I have had no problems with it, wired it for 220V. perfectly square out of the box.

My 3 rules about Harbor Freight:

1. Don’t lose the receipt.
2. Don’t throw the box away.
3. Don’t by things with moving parts.

Great deal, congrats on the upgrade. I almost got one of those jointers off of CL for $150 with a rolling base. It was in Akron, I live in Canton, and I was not going to even attempt to haggle. but it was sold within a few hours of posting. I ended up getting a grizzly, which has been good so far.

Have your say...
