Hello to everyone, I’m new to this site and thus far I like it and the friendly people here.
I have a question though, I posted a comment in the what do you do for a living question and have received several email saying welcome, but I can’t find any place on the site to reply and say thanks for the welcome, where did they hide it?? Or how do you reply??? Thanks and a free cup of coffee to the first person with an answer! Hey I’ll even buy you a donut too! Thanks Joe

just scroll to the bottom , and your place will show up like this one did for me,
and click inside the space and flashing line is your first letter !
then write your words ,and scroll down topost this reply and voila!
this happens on any place you go then you have i hour to edit and change/add as you want !

The easiest way to do it is to send a private message to the person you wish to thank.

Go to their LJ page and under their Avatar is a link to “Send a Message”.

on the right hand corner of the window click on the “My Lumberjocks” then click on “My Messages”

then you can read private messages sent to you, and reply to them.

or you can click on someone’s profile, and below their avatar photo you can “send private message”

Joe,

Glad to see you here…I am pretty much a newb also and frankly had the same problem at first….I just didn’t have the nerve right away to ask how the heck I could answer…hehe…..but I finally got it and answered the posts that showed up on the bottom of my page.

The folks here are all very helpful as you will find…they are always willing to give some great advice or to post a tool review or some excellent projects.

You have to love a group of folks that all share the same love of woodworking….

Once again…welcome aboard….and, assuming from your avatar, Uuuh Rahhh!! USMC 73-77
