I bought a small delta midi lathe last year and use it mainly for pen making anyway.I decided to buy a chuck for it and since I have a full chucking device with all sorts of jaws which I like made by titan for my big lathe.I bought a small FOX chuck sold here in the UK I don’t know if it’s available to you guys.Well watch out they are junk.I used mine for the first time today and noticed a rattling sound everyhting checked out exept the bits where the allen key fits on both sides of the chuck these simply wobble. There junk, just Chinese junk .Please treat yourself and pay more and get yourself a better one which is what I should have done in the first place.Alistair

Alistair, please re-post this in the Reviews tab. Thanks for the warning and hopefully the reviews section will get the attention of a lot more readers. I’m not nitpicking your post, just hoping more LJ’s will benefit from you experience. Personally, I look at almost every review and I dig into all the reviews that apply to anything I’m considering buying. I go there first, then look at the manufactures sites. Thanks, BTKS

i love it when the wood you put on the lathe….........outweighs the lathe…...and when you turn the lathe on?...........all hell breaks loose

and the wood and lathe give chase …..wood always wins???

shake it up just a tad…they say
