Oh Lord, so far today I’ve not hurt myself nor anyone else.

I’ve not coveted my neighbour’s tools, and I’ve not damaged any of mine.

I’ve not been led into temptation to buy one of those fancy laser guided saws that Norm uses on The New Yankee Workshop.

I’ve not messed up any of my projects, nor had any cause to take Thy name in vain.

For this I give thanks but Lord, I’m gonna get out of bed pretty soon, and then, I’ll need all the help you can spare….

LOL…Maybe that should read I’m gonna go out to the shop now. Maybe he heard me cussing when I found out I mixed up my styles with my rails…again.

Ah yes, finding out that 7/16” instead of 1/2” indeed became significant….that prayer would come in handy.

I kinna tell a lie.
The little Gaelic I know was at my grandmothers sides and a lot of that had to do with getting hard stuff done and is not completely repeatable. <g>

”””A bheil thu ‘g iarraidh a dhanns?”””

that’s funny… “will you dance with me” is one of the Swedish phrases that I was taught by a chat friend… what’s with the dancing??

HI Deb:
I ran across this phrase whislt cutting and pasting with Doug in Gaelic.
I beleve that dancing is much more poplular in Europe than it is here in North America so you will find a lot mre reference to it in everyday speech.

Do we all remember the old German beer hall song that goes like this:
“I varm zo easy zo dance me loos, dance me loos , dance em loos!”

Deb and Bob,

And then there is the other wonderful international phrase, here is Scot-Gaelic:
Tha mo bhàta-foluaimein loma-làn easgannan

My hovercraft is full of eels

and in Latin: Mea navis aëricumbens anguillis abundat
Invaluable!

Doug, I enjoy your wit. It’s refreshing and an otherwise sometimes mundane world.
Yours too Deb.
