Topic tags/keywords: lathe chuck accessories

I was given a Fisch TC 90-100 minilathe as a gift. I am told I need to get chucks for it, and 1 4 jaw chuck and a Cone or flat chuck have been recommended. Any opinions? Should I be getting top of the line or more moderate quality? Any other accessories that I should get? I plan to make boxes and maybe furniture parts with it.

ususally a 4 jaw.

Go to Penn State Industries at http://www.pennstateindustries.com/ they have a lot of moderately priced lathe tools. A combo set like this or others might be a good start http://www.pennstateind.com/store/csc2000c.html

You will need to know the tread size for your lathe in order to get the correct chuck that will fit.
