Hello,
I am a fashion designer, graphic artist living in New York. I don’t know anything about wood and didn’t know where to get this wood piece so if anyone can help me with this, it will be amazing..

I am in urgent need for nice shaped cross section of tree. I want to see annual rings from the tree and use that for project I am working on now. I only need cross section so it can be just cut as disc, it doesn’t have to be chunk of wood piece, most of the picture I find really like to use for this is happen to be left over trunk after you cut off the tree… Since I am in new york city, there’s just no place to find such a thing so if there’s anyone who can help me to get this piece pls pls let me know!!!

I need to make printing, image out of the wood. So I really won’t need much, just piece after you cut out the tree.. Is there anyway I can get them?? Please anyone advise me…

Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for your reply, but I live in new york city, and there’s just nothing like that… Lumber place in brooklyn, around where I live, they only have already refined wood for flooring and stuff…

HI Shinny
You might look for a fire wood supplier or perhaps a landscaping service or a nursery. If you could enlarge an image off line then there are lots of places to look. One other place might be the park were they have cut down a tree and the stump remains.

Talk to the folks who maintain Central Park. Surely they have cut down a damaged tree.

Thank you! I actually saw cut down trunk in central park today but park guard came up to me and warn me not to touch them. haha… But I will try to talk to them again if they have any for me to take, and also I wil look for wood supplier as Jum mentioned… I thought I might have to find some place far from new york and ask them to ship to me… Hopely I can find somewhere around..

Thank you so much for your help!

Shinny

If these suggestions don’t work you might call a cabinet shop and see if they can help.
