finally decided to get a set of LN’s and went online, and they use to sell a full set, but looks like now you can only buy them one at a time.

When did they stop the set with the nice leather roll?

Bones, call or email them directly. Maybe they have a few sets left.

Yea, I downloaded the catalog, and they are listed their. I see two sets, a smaller one and a 12 piece one. so it must be some thing you have to call for i guess. Thanks.

FYI when I got my LN chisels (love them by the way) I got them from Garrett Wade. They often offer 10 -15% off on purchases over a certain amount. I took advantage of a 15% off sale and that was by far the best deal I found for LN chisels. You may have to sign up for the emails but in my case it was worth it.

There’s no LN chisels on GW other than a couple fishtails.
Must have been a while ago?

Yes it was a few years back. Too bad if they don’t carry them any more – glad I got them when I did.

Well real bummer. spoke to them, and the download pdf of the catalog is from 2013. They don’t do sets anymore, so to get the 10 piece set + 12 slot tool roll is 775. Use to be 640 for a 10 piece set and roll. Bummer no discounts for sets. Guess they don’t need to. Bummer.

They may be really good but for that price I would think there are other options out there.

Yea, I know there are other choices, but I have to say, I have a lot of LN stuff and it’s all just top notch. the chisels are just another line of theirs I have no doubt would be awesome. My buds at woodcraft, had me try the sweetheart ones, and I bought one and gave it a try and they were ok, but I was just not impressed that they were that much better than my Irwin cheap set I’ve had for years. Now instead of getting then all at once, I may just start with the few key ones, and get them over time.

Dude I both love you and hate you!

First thanks so much for the site! I found the set at the 2013 prices along with a set of Glen Drake hammers, and even picked up some blades for the knew concepts fret saw!

The hate part is I dropped a lot more money than I planned.

I had never seen this site before and free shipping!

It’s definitely bookmarked.

Thanks again for the information!

You are welcome. If you are ever in Everett Washington it’s a great place to visit. The owner has a bench and scrap wood set up to try the tools, he is very informed and helpful. They just mover from San Diego, our loss but a great resource. Sorry about the “extra cost” Enjoy.

What do you need so many sizes for?

Just get 3 or 4 most popular and make do with that.

Yea, I could have donethat(got just a few), but I have to say that having the width to match width of cut is really nice. I’m sure I could get by with a few, but really wanted the set.

I’ve been to lots of shows where LN was and used them and they are just so nice.

I have to say when the Stanley sweetheart ones came out I was slobbering that they would be at the same level at such a cost savings. However, I got one to see rather than the whole set, and don’t get me wrong they aint bad, but ….they ain’t LN either.

My current set will go to my oldest boy and these will be my babies! They can fight over them when I’m gone :)
