Topic tags/keywords: finishing shaping carving sanding I picked up one of those knife kits at woodcraft the other day and I was trying to decide what finish to use on the Bocote handles. Has anyone made these? -- I didn't go to college, I was too busy learning stuff - Ted Nugent |

I typed in “knife handle finish” in the search box (middle of the screen at the top) and got several items, you may want to start there. -- "Checking for square? what madness is this! The cabinet is square because I will it to be so!" Jeremy Greiner LJ Topic#20953 2011 Feb 2 |

Tomakazi I used to make hand made knives Shape and sand to final sanding say 500 grit then spray with an acrylic sealer ( clear ) then take loose buffing wheel use loose muslin wheel tape off the metal if sharp tape that also polish off the spray take your time you will be happy with the end polish Larry -- lcurrent ( It's not a mistake till you run out of wood ) |
