Topic tags/keywords: question router

I am one of the few who actually still own a Router Crafter, found it at a yard sale for $10! Well, with me moving and all, the main pulley was broken, so I turned one on the lathe, but would like to try and find a replacement for the original. Anyone know where I can find one, or am I to late???

Would like to see a picture of the original broken pulley. Its possible that i could cast a new one from aluminum. pulleys are generally easy to model. I have a small foundry. I can handle about 10 lbs of aluminum. If you could make the model It would be even cheaper as most of the work is in the model. Of course you might have to study a little to get the draft right.

Which pulley is it? I have Craftsman router crafter hanging on the wall collecting dust and rust that I will give you. All the pulleys on mine are plastic. Where do you live?

If you end up never getting a replacement pulley made for this, mine is missing a crank handle… If you don’t eventually get yours fixed, I could sure use your handle.

I’m in the same boat as Splintered… I need a handle too. Mine is complete with the exception of the handle.

If I can’t find one, I’ll end up making one from any crank handle I can find on eBay…

Splintered, if you end up making one, keep me in mind and make two. I’ll buy it from you.

Has JHatcher had any success on the pulley issue. Received damaged unit picked up on ebay and rather than return I’d really prefer to replace the 2” diameter pulley.
