Topic tags/keywords: refurbishing finishing I have an old canoe that i fixed up, and all i need to do is re cane the seats. i am using sheet caning with spline. I have never done this before. Any tips would be great. -- Go Bulldogs! UGA! UGA! |

The main thing is to keep it centered. Start at the rear middle and work your way equally on both sides. If it gets off center or skewed, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Oh, and be sure to use a waterproof glue to hold the spline in.
