I just came across a large amount of lumber which included a large variety of exotic woods. One of my favorites is this piece of Brazilian Rosewood, which after some research, have found that it is very rare since it’s an endangered species and was/is used in musical instruments.

I don’t have a specific use for it, nor do I really want to cut into it for just any project, so would it just be wise to sell it and if so, what does a board like this go for?

The board is 7×43x1

I think the heartwood is about the only part used. However, your board, with a lot of sapwood, has interesting contrasts. If it’s stable like that, it would be interesting to see it made into a box.

Have your say...
