I agree. But I think we are the minority. Thats a good idea…maybe a Jokes forum Title . I dont care if people want to post silly pictures..I just dont like it when they end up in every thread..

I bet if people posted woodworking topics instead of complaints the number of woodworking topics would out weigh the number of humor threads. BTW, by the time the humor takes over some of the posts, the thread has either been beaten to death or had it’s answers. So there really isn’t any harm. The guys that are trying to keep the site on a “not so serious” level make this place a joy to be around. In fact, there’s been posts here that have been brutal, but the mood changed because these guys tried to lighten the mood.
People who just bitch and fuss make it miserable.

To answer the question, if there was a Humor forum wouldn’t it be in the Forum section with all the others, so when you post there it will pop up anyhow, just like the coffee lounge topics? Or are you suggesting a little hard to see button for those of us who don’t eat, sleep, and breath woodworking? I guess I don’t get it. The coffee lounge forum is here and draws attention. Take it away, filter it, or hide it and you loose the interest of the site guarenteed. It will become just like so many other sites, those of which people are leaving to come here because of all the stingent moderators and lack of personality. Maybe we should all be robots.

I personally want to thank all those out there who contribute the humor and add to the energy of the site. Especially in these tough times where depression is running rampant. Being able to laugh and enjoy the woodworking is more then a pleasure, it’s now a lifestyle.

If Martin adds a Humor section then he needs to add a Rant section too. I’m just sayin.

Lately, the humor has been very childish, and distracting from the quality that this site has brought to the table. I’ll go to the gamer forums if I want lame humor, and cliques.

By the way, the bag heads are lame. Way to go!

Maybe next, you can wear rainbow wigs. Yeah, that’s original!

I don’t see what the problem is. The coffee lounge is basically for non woodworking topics. If Martin were to create a Jokes Topic page, I have a feeling that some of you would complain about that too. There are eight topics in the forum section, and the seven not mentioned here should work for you. You did find this section didn’t you?

You guys do know that you can click the “Forum” tab at the top and get a choice of 8 topics don’t you ? At that time click on the topic you want and avoid the Coffee Lounge altogether.

I don’t see a problem here. Sometimes we need some good natured humor to lighten up our day since there is no humor forum the coffee lounge is the only place for it. If I don;t feel like looking at it I don’t. So in my humble opinion…if you don’t like the humor ignore it plain and simple.
