I am wondering if there is a virus on the site as I cannot sign into my profile page from my laptop… I keep getting pop ups that I need Java script to log in and I have it… It’s behaving very like a virus just wondering if anyone is experiencing this.

Sounds like the laptop has the problem, not the site…

The only problem I have had is signing into LJ’s from my tablet, all other devices are working OK. Like you, My problem is specific to me, not the website.

Definitely not a Site Virus.

Be careful of those types of Pop Ups ( Not saying this is one of them) especially if they have a “Click Here” for you to download or install it.

If you do, then there’s an excellent chance You’ll get a Virus for sure. You’ll also have a Hell of a time trying to close that “Notice/Page”. If you can at all! Usually a Reboot is the only way you’ll be able to get rid of it.

Hey, yep, you have probably not a virus but malware. I’m an IT manager, and when you click on that update java, you will get bit.

Here’s what I reccomend. Go to (i’ll add the link). You do not need the premium version that costs money. Get the free one.

Run it, and it will probably find some malware and the java is a common one.

Now here is one thing to remember, install it run it, then reboot and run again untill it comes up clean. Sometimes malware is good about renaming itself and popping back in.

Make sure you virus software is current and up-to-date and as a general rule always apply OS patches.

Java will not prompt u to update from a web site.

If you have issues after you try the above steps PM me, and i’ll talk to you offline.

Take care and good luck.
