First, I like this forum.

The problem is in attaching photos to a post. I am finding it very difficult, and I consider myself fairly computer literate. I know you probably don’t want to hear yourself compared to another forum, but I have to tell you that Sawmill Creek is very easy. It says “manage attachments”, and then a brose window opens, you go to your saved photo, click add, and you are done. Sorry, but the enter URls, and such, is too complicated.

There is criticism, and constructive criticism. I hope you take this in the spirit it was intended.

It has been discussed before. It is mainly a question of space and bandwidth. The browse window you describe also happens here IF you are posting a project. In other words, project photos are posted directly from your computer and hosted on th Lumberjocks server. Other photos you might want to post to a blog or forum topic must be hosted on another website and linked.

It would be nice if Lumberjocks could host all the images, but this IS a free site, so it’s hard to complain.

It would be nice to have it all here but it,s not that hard really, I just have my Browser open in The photo hosting site and open again here, then it,s simply a matter of copying the html from the host site and pasteing it into what ever it is i,m writing. The only downside I see is if you delete from your host site you lose it here as well.

My main complaint is the size limitation of enbedded photos. 640×480 is too small and you cant see the finer details of projects or read text of posted plans and Sketchup screen grabs. I just wish we could embed larger images…
