What happened to Charles free woodworking forum? I was a member there and now I can’t even find it on his website. I am aware of all the great classes and dvd’s they offer and own several. But I really enjoyed browsing the free forum and getting ideas from all the knowledgeable folks on there. Hopefully Charles will see this.

Hes all about the money now. You have to pay for the show to get to the private forum. He only caters to the rich people now Im sorry to say.

That seems somewhat bitter. I think for anyone who’s spent the better part of their lives perfecting a skill, it’s unacceptable to try to make a buck offering that skill to others. I don’t think “He’s all about the money”, I think he’s a guy who’s making a living off of the skills and reputation he’s spent his career building. I hardly think this was his lifelong get-rich scheme. Besides, he still drops in here from time to time to answer questions on this forum, as well.

And no, I am not a subscriber. Just don’t think we should be putting the guy down for making some money helping people. If you want tax advice, and go speak to a CPA, you can expect a bill. This is no different, except that it’s via the internet.

You don’t see these as put downs?

Well the following statements certainly seem like baseless character attacks:

Hes all about the money now.

So you personally know Charles, and know he’s all about the money? Did you see him rollin’ down main street in a Rolls Royce throwin 100 dollar bills at the ladies? I don’t know him, so I can’t say if he’s all about the money. But, based on the way he’s conducted himself on this forum, he seems like a pretty down-to-earth, helpful guy.

He only caters to the rich people now Im sorry to say.

Is their a tax bracket requirement for the forum? I didn’t sign up, so again, I don’t know. I’m working on the assumption that you don’t have to submit the previous years’ taxes to be considered for membership. But, there’s a difference between being rich, and being willing, or having the expendable income, to pay for assistance from a field expert.

And adding “I’m sorry to say” is like insulting someone, then adding “bless his heart” at the end. You’re disappointed that the forum requires payment, we get it.

Again, I do not personally know the man, but throwing someone under the bus by making statements that aren’t necessarily true is pretty low. Doesn’t seem like the man sold out, seems like he’s paid his dues and is cashing in.

The windows were tinted, I’m not sure who it was. lol

I googled “All about the money”, and that same description was there.

No throwing Charles, or anyone one else under the bus.
He’s a stand up guy that helps EVERYONE….
So what if he helps paying subscribers a little more than others.

“nuff said!!!
