well I bought me a baracudda chuck,,the csc series and its a good chuck,,but being a newbie at turning I also found out its a pain in the rear if you have to go from one set of jaws to the other unscrewing all those allen screws,,lol,,does anyone know if there is a kit that you can get to upgrade this type of chuck to use the pop in jaws,,,i know nova sells the upgrade kit but don’t know if it will fit the baraccuda chuck,,,,thank you

You have just discovered why so many turners have multiple chucks.

I doubt the quick-change jaws from either Nova or Easy Wood Tools will fit a Barracuda.

I agree about the pain with changing the jaws. I aways drop a screw in a pile of shavings. I even got a magnet because of it.

Im a newbie also. Just got the baracudda chuck. Its a whole new world haveing a chuck on my lathe.

You have to watch out when messing with chucks. I’ve heard of people dying.

I had a question about the Barracuda csc series. I think mine is csc3000c. Does it have a back on it? mine does not have a cover on the side that faces the lathe.

Yep, I have two. Jumbo stays on one.
